Wax on, gloves off! When Daniel LaRusso arrived in the Valley in The Karate Kid, he quickly found himself going head-to-head with Cobra Kai’s star pupil, Johnny Lawrence. Daniel was the scrappy new kid from New Jersey learning karate from Mr. Miyagi, while Johnny was the confident defending champion trained in “strike first, strike hard, no mercy.” Throw in a love triangle with Ali Mills, a Halloween showdown, the All Valley Karate Tournament, and you’ve got one of the ’80s most memorable rivalries going on. Time to pick a side!
